PLANNING, RESEARCH AND STATISTICS DEPARTMENT
Main Functions Perform by the Department:
l. Budget Planning: Responsible for the preparation of the annual Budget of the Board in conjunction with the other Department.
2. Information and investigation: Also responsible for sourcing of taxpayer’s information both potential and existing ones with a view to update the records of the taxpayer.
3. Computer: Solely responsible for the day to day computer needs of the Board.
FUNCTION OF THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR:
1. To administer and coordinate all the major functions in the department.
2. TO schedule such functions to the staff under the department
UNITS CREATED UNDER THE DEPARTMENT:
1. Budget and Planning Unit:
Prepares the annual Budget of the Board and undertake such planning work as may be
require by the management/ Board
2. Information and Investigation Unit:
Assist in information sharing between the existing units/ Department of the Board and
outside organizations. In addition, cases of tax defaulters are also referring to this unit for in depth investigation
3. ICT UNIT
Responsible for the computer operations at the Headquarters and the five zonal offices.
